Have a little faith...

These days... I'm tryin' to have a lot of faith.

It has been a little while since my last post and while I initially was going to blog about our recent meals and random adventures, I've decided to put that on hold and tell you about something more important to our daily lives...

I recently stumbled upon a friend's blog where she (kindly enough) shares her chosen journey on the Christian path. Her words are clear, intimate, and beautiful. She speaks of God in a way that makes me feel warm inside and her words create a desire in me to pray. Often I find myself in prayer while reading her blog and well after I've logged off. How inspiring you are Amanda!! (Thank you!)

I am actually so very inspired by her faith that I am now on that same journey...

A journey to discover faith, enjoy faith, and share faith. I am hoping to strengthen my relationship with God and better myself.

I told Kevin of my new found plan and asked if he would make the journey with me... He's in. (He makes me so proud!)

We decided that in order to better our understandings of God and faith we needed some better reading materials... The bible I have had since I was a little girl is what Kevin calls "the Bible for dummies" because of the silly way in which it is written.

So... I went to amazon.com (Whoo-hoo Amazon Prime with the free 2 day shipping!) and I ordered myself a Life Application Study Bible and a book by the well known missionary, Sarah Young, titled Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence. Kevin requested a standard King James Version Bible, which I ordered as well.

And so we begin our journey together to strengthen our faith...
(I'm very excited to see where this path will lead us and ask that you continue to pray for us throughout this journey.)

As for me, I'm praying this journey will be more simple than the parenting journey we are currently on... (Just kiddin'.) : )

(I believe they will be equally fulfilling.)

Peace and prayer to you always.
